The Minnesota Timberwolves declined to match the offer sheet that guard Tyus Jones signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Duke product had agreed to a three year, $28 million offer sheet. Minnesota had 48 hours to match the offer to keep Jones, which they chose not to do. Over his fours years with the Timberwolves, Jones provided steady play at the backup one spot.
